Kim grew up in western Kentucky. She gradually moved south from Paducah, through Marshall County to Murray and received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree with an area in Painting from Murray State University in 1987.  In 1993, Kim moved to Paris, Tennessee.
     She has had experience using oils, pastels, charcoal and graphite. Currently, she uses acrylics, watercolor, prismacolor pencils and oil crayons.
